Before SDSU, Luca Vincini Helps Italy

Luca Vincini, who will be a member of San Diego State’s men’s basketball team this season, is prepping for the season as a member of the Italian National team.

In his first game for Italy in the FIBA World Cup Qualifying Round, Luca tallied 7 points on 2-of-3 shooting from the field and 3-of-4 from the foul line in Italy’s 103-91 win over Croatia.

A product of the Italian basketball development system since he was a youngster, Luca will head to the States after the tournament as a member of San Diego State during its first campaign in the Pac 12.

Corey Floyd Jr. Wows in Jersey Shore League

While he listens to offers from teams in Europe, and heads back to Las Vegas for workouts with NBA and G-League coaches, Corey Floyd, Jr., is making a mark on the Jersey Shore League.

Playing against vets from Florida State, Pepperdine and Seton Hall, Corey poured in 21 and 34 points on back-to-back nights to lead his team.  The Jersey Shore League, which has been running since 1968, has been the summer home of some of New Jersey’s and the Northeast’s basketball elite.

The Providence College alum has been working out daily as he prepares to begin his professional basketball career.

Garry Clark Signs in Finland

St. Louis native Garry Clark will begin his professional basketball career with Korihait in Finland.  The 6’9” forward was a two-time first team all-Southland Conference player, averaging 14.8 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.

“I’m grateful and excited to be heading to Finland,” said Garry.  “I’ve been dreaming my whole life about making basketball my full-time job and now it’s a reality.”
