Corey Floyd Jr. Leads and Inspires, Jamir Westry Leads Garden City CC to 6-1 Start
Corey Floyd’s Leadership
Powers Providence
Even though he was sidelined with a sprained ankle, Corey Floyd, Jr., showed the skills of a captain during Providence’s 98-66 win over New Hampshire. With his team playing below its level and leading by just seven at the half, Corey spoke to the team in the locker room.
“Corey talked to us … let us know what was at stake. Lock in and do the right thing. He said we worked too hard to put out this finished product out there on the floor,” said PC’s leading scorer in the game, Jason Edwards.

Jamir Westry Leads Garden City CC to 6-1 start
The local media who cover Garden City CC (KS) games at Conestoga Arena have said “Jamir Westry is orchestrating the offense masterfully.” Not bad for the young freshman from Newark.
In their last home game, Garden City (5-1) defeated Otero College, 128-95, with Jamir scoring 14 points, dishing out 11 assists, and making 4 steals. The New Jersey product is among the league leader in steals, while also contributing 8.5 points and 5 assists per game.
