Corey Floyd, Jr. Signs with IPZ…Rosa Joins Santiago in Getting College Offers

Corey Floyd, Jr. Signs with IPZ

Corey Floyd, Jr. (A.K.A. “CFLO”), the dynamic and multifaceted 6'4" starting combo guard from Providence College, has signed with IPZ for NIL representation.

Corey, a former star at Roselle Catholic High School in New Jersey, finished high school in three years and did a red-shirt year at UConn, before transferring to Providence, where he has been a fixture in the Friars’ starting five lineup for the past two seasons.  Corey averaged nine points this past season, five rebounds and two assists per game, while also shooting at 43% from the field and 80% from the free throw line.  He had one of his best career games late this season against DePaul with 25 points and eight rebounds.

In addition, over the last three seasons, Corey has been one of the best on ball defenders in the Big East.

“Corey is well known in New Jersey for his stellar career at Roselle Catholic, and now throughout the Big East for his overall grit, his tenacious play on both ends of the floor, his supreme toughness, athleticism, and for his ‘team first’ mentality,” said IPZ managing partner Robert Zito.  “His personality and strong family values will be an attribute to any brand.”

Rosa Joins Santiago in Getting College Offers

St. Peter’s Prep starting point guard junior Richie Rosa picked up a college scholarship offer this week from Wagner College, ensuring that he and his backcourt teammate, Mason Santiago, on both Prep and the Puerto Rico U-18 national team have years of basketball ahead of them.

“I think this will start the flow of offers for Richie,” said St. Peter’s coach Alex Mirabel.  Rosa needs just 13 points next season to break the 1,000-point mark.

Meanwhile, his running mate, Mason Santiago, has picked up offers from Farfield, Fordham, St. Peter’s, Albany and East Carolina.

Wagner is coached by Donald Copeland, a Jersey City native who played high school basketball for Bob Hurley at St. Anthony’s High School.
